Week Three - 4/17 - 4/23

Sunday, April 17, 2011 -



So I had to go into downtown to pick up a friend. I wasn't driving and I was just taking random pictures. So yes. This is the nearest big city to where I live, on a cloudy day. :)


Monday, April 18, 2011 -



So this was at my little sister's second district qualifier track meet. I take SO many random pictures, and I liked the perspective of this one, despite the guy's foot. ;)


Tuesday, April 19, 2011 -



So I'm re-reading a book I haven't read in like, 5 years. It's funny how different a book is when you read it so far after. Like, things you didn't understand before. And you can kind of get a deeper perspective of the characters.

Thursday, April 21, 2011 -



This is how cracked and dry the ground is. We haven't had a drop of rain since January. It's SO bad. I can't remember it ever being this dry. And April is usually when all of our thunderstorms come through, and it's usually the most rainy month of the year. The fires are getting closer and closer to me and it's getting pretty scary!


Friday, April 22, 2011 -



So this is the first thing that I bought for myself in FOREVER. They were like, $1.99 each at Walgreen's, so I got a bunch. I painted my nails right when I got home! Haha. And for being so cheap, the ones I've worn so far have been REALLY good! I love the color, and they're staying on, too!


Saturday, April 23, 2011 -



So we went to the beach for the sunrise, and attempted to go fising, but the waves were rough, it was too windy to cast, and the seaweed was annoying. April is SO bad when it comes to seaweed! I thought it was funny how on the left, it's the orange, new seaweed. In the middle, the red stuff that's been there a while, and then on the right, the black that's all dead and has been there for a long time. But actually, seaweed is crucial for the dunes, which helps protect against flooding in hurricanes. So I'm not complaining!

Week Two. 4/10 - 4/16

So Levi and I made this pizza foldy thing for dinner, and he spread a bit of sauce for the first layer, and it looked awesome so I took a picture! :) It was DELICIOUS. For real.


Monday, April 11, 2011 -



So after work, before I went to pick up the boys, I stopped at McDonald's to get a drink. I don't know why, but I just took this picture out the window. I liked the way the trees were!

This is way back behind my house. I just loved this picture! I don't know if you can tell, but the cresent moon is really tiny at the top! I thought the colors were cool.

This one is really self explanitory. I was bored and trying to think of things to take pictures of, so I was playing with my scrabble board. :)

Long story short, the horses were out. :) I cropped and darkened this picture a bit, because things were so washed out. I loooove horses!

I hate my computer. It just randomly turns off ALL the time! It's beyond annoying. I totally just want to throw it against a wall or something. It's an ancient laptop and I hate it. I wish I could get a new one!

The grass was REALLY green in this one spot. I'm actually surprised the grass is still green, being in a drought and all.

Week One: 4/3 - 4/9

So I'm just going to introduce this a bit. :) Once a week, I'm going to post a picture that I took for each day of the week. It's kind of just to let ya'll in on my everyday life. So here's the first week of pictures!

Sunday, April 3, 2011 -



So my aunt and uncle were in town, and I went with them, my parents, Will, Lex, Sophie and then obviously Levi, Bentley and Rafe, to Galveston to show them around. This was taken on The Strand. Love that place!

Monday, April 4, 2011 -



This was taken on my way home from work. I was stopped at a (long!) stoplight, grabbed my camera and snapped it out the window. Wildflowers are in bloom! :) I wish ya'll could see all the amazing wildflowers we have here. My favorite flower (and the state flower) is the bluebonnet. And the indian paintbrushes are gorgeous, too.

Tuesday, April 5, 2011 -



So I'm a small group leader at my church for the high school service. I have freshman girls. :) We're doing a study right now and the other lady who leads with me decided to get everyone the same edition Bible and they were pretty. :) So this is mine! I really like the edition. Plus, from what I've read, it's a closer translation to the original text than what I had before. That'll be nice, because I can use this one if I want to kind of study the text a bit more.

Wednesday, April 6, 2011 -



So on Wednesday, Lexi had her district qualifier track meet. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, and I took this. I love the clouds and the way that the sky kind of gets darker at the top of the picture.

Thursday, April 7, 2011 -



Just another gorgeous day! Although this was taken around 6:30 or 7pm, so the light was starting to kind of dim a bit. I like the effect through the clouds!

Friday, April 8, 2011 -



Will had been over, and he was shooting hoops while waiting for Lex to come out so he could take her home one day, and left the basketball there. I was fixing to get in the car, and saw this and thought it was a good shot. Yeah, not only are the wildflowers blooming, but so are the weeds!

Saturday, April 9, 2011 -



Levi was mowing the backyard, and he went to lift up a really big plastic flower pot we had to mow under it, and saw this. This would be a Texas ant hill. Gotta love them fire ants. :/ It was HUGE, too, probably just under a foot tall. But you know, I thought it was so interesting. Just in the way that it looked and how the ants did their jobs after the hill was disturbed.
